Special Award for Explorama Founder
President of Peru recognizes Amazon Explorama Lodges founder for preservation of the environment
Peter Jenson, President of the Board of Directors and founder of
Amazon Explorama Lodges, received a distinguished award from President Alan Garcia and
Antonio Brack, Minister of the newly appointed Ministry of the Environment. The award
honored eight people, including Mr. Jenson, for generating value to Peru's natural environment
and contributing to the preservation and promotion of Peru's natural resources and its
biodiversity. The ceremony took place on Tuesday, August 19th 2008 at the Presidential
Palace and was attended by dignitaries from various countries as well as mayors from
different areas of Peru.
